Kayla McClellan is an international multidisciplinary artist and researcher in pursuit of rich exchanges that cultivate sustainable relationships in various communities. McClellan was born and raised in the U.S. sunshine state, Florida, where she acquired her BFA Dance degree from the Florida State University. After living/producing work in New York and graduating from Florida State, McClellan moved to London, England (2017) to attend the Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. She attended as a Trinity Laban Award Scholar in the MFA Dance Science programme. McClellan has since graduated and is traveling as she continues to develop work with collaborators in countries such as Amsterdam, America, and the UK: engaging with the land of each. People are at the heart of every research process and output that McClellan produces. She ultimately desires to serve whatever community she resides in by connecting with individuals through her artistic practices.
In addition to making and researching dance, McClellan works as a Balanced Body Pilates mat instructor. Her teaching schedule, along with her performance schedule, and other features/news can be found on the blog/news page. |
